John Kerry operatives must be very worried because they are very active. John Glionna of the Los Angeles Times did an absolute puff piece on the nefarious activities of the VVAW in Kansas City on Nov. 12-15, 1971. Not surprisingly, Glionna did not tell the whole story.
Now comes along the Associated Press. Their story was picked up via the San Francisco Chronicle website. I spoke to their bureau in New York and was transferred to their D.C. bureau.
I finally got connected to either a news desk or editor and a woman named Donna Cassada. I had complained that the AP missed a very important part of the story. When I started discussing the assassination discussions, she didn't want to touch it. She claims they investigated but there was nothing there. Obviously, they have not talked to witnesses, including Scott Camil who was apparently proud of his plan at the time.
Tom Lipscomb has talked to the witnesses. These are clowns have not.
Both the L.A. TIMES and AP are getting their info from the same sources --- known liars John Kerry and his hack spokesman David Wade. None of this d*mn reporters are doing their jobs as reporters. It is obvious that they are organs of the RAT party and will go kicking and screaming before they will tell the truth that will hurt their guy.
Here is the AP piece:
Kerry says FBI surveillance 'badge of honor'
Associated Press ^ | 3-22-04
KETCHUM, Idaho (AP) -- Reports that the FBI monitored John Kerry's anti-war activities in the early 1970s are both "a badge of honor" and a troubling example of government intrusion into peaceful and legitimate protest, a Kerry spokesman said Monday.
"Revealed in page after page of FBI reports is the portrait of John Kerry at age 27 speaking with courage and conviction, leading veterans to Washington for peaceful protests, advocating nonviolent protests and moderation," spokesman David Wade said.
The Los Angeles Times, in a story published Monday, cited FBI documents indicating the agency spent a year monitoring the activities of the group Vietnam Veterans Against the War. After returning from Vietnam, Kerry became a leader of that group, thus coming under the FBI scrutiny.
Wade noted that the FBI concluded Kerry was simply a peaceful and legitimate protester, but he said reports of the clandestine surveillance of the group brought home the troubling divisions the war created for the country.
"That the Hoover FBI and the Nixon White House paid such attention to John Kerry is both a badge of honor and a reminder of that difficult pre-Watergate era in our country," Wade said.
Kerry, a Navy officer, commanded a swift boat in Vietnam and won a series of decorations, including three Purple Hearts.
Wade said Kerry returned "with a deep sense of moral responsibility to end the war" and understood at the time he was fighting against entrenched powers.
"He knew it wouldn't be easy," Wade said. "The Nixon White House set out to destroy him because he was a credible voice speaking up for veterans. Now we learn that J. Edgar Hoover's FBI was following his every move."
Although Kerry was a leader of the VVAW, he eventually left it after concluding that the most effective way to oppose the war was to run for public office, Wade said.
Kerry was vacationing Monday in Sun Valley and had no public events scheduled.

The VVAW was a long time ago, and doesn't matter, except that it demonstrates Kerry's leadership and sense of responsibility. There was no assassination plot, but if there was, Kerry wasn't at that meeting, but if he was at the meeting he voted against it, and demonstrated his mettle by resigning that day because of it. If he was still purporting to be involved in VVAW after that time it was simply out of loyalty and responsibility. See? It is very simple.
Ive been hearing Teresa Heinz Kerry wife of John F Kerry, internationalist, financed the anti-war demonstrations this past week-end. I have been unable to confirm this. Does anyone here at FR have any information regarding this? I have not seen any postings here at FR regarding this.
Teresa Heinz and John Kerry are well-known NWO-Elite internationalist caring very little for America and Americans. Are these large demonstrations against President Bush flowing from the Kerry Campaign, financed by the Tide Foundation controlled by Teresa Heinz Kerry?
There are very few true reporters anymore. The real ones are now called "investigative reporters." Otherwise, they have just become "repeaters." They simply pass along what has been told to them by the sources they have cultivated over the years. They never bite the hand that feeds them.
He's still lying about it. The Times story has such precious quotes as: "I still have no memory of a Kansas City meeting"..."It's just weird," he says when asked about the discrepancy.
This story is the anti-war Boomers' last hurrah. It drags tried and true monsters from the prop room like Nixon and the evil J. Edgar Hoover -- always good for scaring the kids and getting the old folks to humming "Kum ba Yah," playing the old Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan tunes while gumming "Hell no, we won't go!".
Translation: "I STILL have no memory" = No evidence has yet emerged which would force me to start telling the truth
