Gaydar ISN'T real: Scientists slam the phrase as stereotyping and say its use could lead to aggression
We've all heard people say they have a 'gaydar'.
It is the alleged ability to know whether someone is gay or straight based on their appearance.
The phrase Gaydar got a scientific boost from a 2008 study that concluded people could accurately guess someone's sexual orientation based on photographs of their faces.
But a new study challenges what it calls the 'the gaydar myth', saying it isn't accurate and is actually a harmful form of stereotyping.

I know some very effeminate men who aren’t gay but 9 times out of 10 the gaydar is working fine.
Homosexuals claim it is legit because they say that they are not attracted to heterosexuals. So therefore anyone who perks their interest MUST be homosexual (even if they are in denial).
Adult “mentors” can spot these gay youths and seek to free them. That is why the schools let perverts have access to minors and deny any adult from trying to counsel an impressionable kid to consider heterosexual normality.
Something tells me that these scientists are gay.
This is a classic “it’s not 100% so it doesn’t exist” liberal lie. It’s just like their “a border fence can’t stop all illegals” or “we can’t deport all illegals” or “Obamacare doesn’t hurt everybody who participates” lies.
I read that all the time in the technical papers I read...
Something tells me they are looking for more study money.
...and yet, the first to proclaim how good their gaydar is are the gays themselves. ;>)
Mine works fine.
It won’t shut the hell up when I see Lindsay Graham speak.
Well here’s another group of educated idiots that don’t seem to know how a stereotype comes to be.
OF COURSE it’s ‘stereotyping morons. WTF do you think makes it ‘work’????
Back when I was still in the Marines I returned from a 6 month MEU deployment, and my wife wanted me to meet her new friend’s husband. We met over dinner at their apartment. He was quite the stud. Blond hair, blue eyes, and muscular. A good looking Marine if their ever was one. After dinner we were driving home, and my wife asked what I thought. “He’s gay.” I told her. My wife was royally pissed off at me. Six months later this corporals wife found a video tape in his clothing drawer of him having homosexual sex with numerous other men.
My gaydar was pinpoint accurate.
Gay Scientist say...
So if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably isn’t a duck?
In most cases, scientists aren’t real.
My Duckdar is working fine.
“Scientists”, ha ha.
