North Koreas most powerful woman was sitting behind the VP as she sat with the South Korean president Moon Jae-in.
Kims Yo-jong shook hands with the leader him before taking her seat in the VIP box to watching incredible ceremony.
The 30-year-old is the youngest daughter of previous North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, and is a major force in Pyongyang.
She is the first member of the Kim family to visit the South since the Korean War.
Despite being dubbed the Peace Olympics, nuclear tensions continue to loom over the Korean Peninsula.
Pyongyang and Seoul marched together as a unified team, much to the delight of the Kim Yo-jong who waved with glee.
She is due to have a sit-down luncheon tomorrow with President Moon along with the rest of the North Korean delegation including the man sat next to her Kim Yong-nam.
US officials have remained suspicious over Kims intentions as the North cosies up to the South over the Olympics.
Vice president Pence reportedly snubbed Kim Yong-nam at a pre-opening ceremony dinner in the hours before heading to the stadium.
He allegedly left after just five minutes after realising North Korean delegates were in attendance.
Trumps number two has talked tough as he arrived in the South, pledging to ramp up maximum pressure after the Olympics.

Um, Mike Pence isn’t Trump’s VP. He’s America’s VP.
Now that the South and North are buddies, guess we can pack up Casey, Hovey, Red Cloud, Stanley, Humphreys, Osan etc etc etc. Think of all the dinero we’ll save!!
I think Pense could take her.
Graciously, South Korea will not send her home in a non-recoverable coma.
I hope she keeps her worms to herself.
Despite being dubbed the Peace Olympics
nice try, NK. Perhaps the president or VP could get Amazon to get a drone to drop a copy of Orwell’s 1984 for you.
Perhaps the sight of a drone would make you c**p your pants. I call that a win-win for everyone. LOL!
I’ll bet Pence is glad there are other people in the room.
*** This is a direct snub to Pence whose delegation specifically asked their S. Korean counterpart that he does not want to come across N.Koreans while in S. Korea. ***
More info please. Seems like coordinating the Olympics would be hard enough w/o having to fulfill such requests from every country attending.
I hope she keeps her worms to herself.
There it is. *snicker*

Just for the record; he is not Trump’s Vice-President. He is America’s Vice-President.
Pence ought to do that thing where he walks up to her, pretends to adjust her collar and when she looks down, pwoings! his knuckle on her nose.
Pasty White , does she live in a Bunker or is she a Vampire
ARF! What would be funny as hell is if Pence had a staffer gift then with a case of Ivermectin!
I think she’s cute
Nothing to worry about.
Mrs. Pence is there to protect him.
