Immigrants living in the U.S. illegally will not automatically be registered to vote in California come April, despite online stories claiming that's the case.
At issue is a California law taking effect in April that will automatically register people to vote when they get a driver's license, an ID card, or update their address with the Department of Motor Vehicles. California allows immigrants living in the country illegally to obtain drivers licenses, leading some websites to falsely claim they'll be automatically signed up to vote.

Like they wont vote anyway
If you don’t check IDs when people vote, you don’t know ho is voting.
We can trust them.............
WHat about the Million or two already registered to Vote in California?
ICE should be at DMV and pick up each of those illegal aliens as they leave.
Why can’t ICE subpoena those DMV records and go knock on some doors?!
Wait, since drivers license data is already nationally accessible, ICE already has access, right? And if so, why are they not out rounding up these self-identified illegal aliens?!
It won’t be automatic. It will only happen if they forget to check the “i am not allowed to vote box”. /sarc
Current policy is only removing those with standing deportation orders and those convicted of crimes committed here.
When you send in the voter registration application card like after you move, they don’t check to see if you’re a citizen, they just send it out, I’m quite sure.
but they will be Bused to another state to help Democrats
“Why cant ICE subpoena those DMV records and go knock on some doors?!”
As things that need fixing go with the Federal Government, California is small potatoes. That said, CA’s turn in the “Trump Box” is coming, and as a Californian, I hope it isn’t too far off!
Key word: automatically.
They might have to put an X in a box.
“Hey Gringo! We don’t NEED no stinkin’ voter ID’s!”
I wouldnt trust nbc to tell me where the sun rises.
