President Donald Trump said Tuesday his administration is preparing strong measures to prevent Russia from meddling in November midterm elections. Yet, he again suggested others might have been involved in attempts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
Trump claimed he is not concerned about a repeat of the last national election. Were counteracting it very strongly, he said of Russias tactics, some of which were detailed last month in court documents prepared by Special Counsel Robert Mueller III.
The president seemingly out of the blue, as he often does also touted a potential alternative to hacks of electronic voting systems: Its called paper, he said, noting some states have non-electronic backup plans.

Still not infallible, but far preferable to hackable machines!
AAH HA!!!! A back door way for voter ID, using the stupid ass Demoncraps own narrative.
We use voting machines here in Gwinnett County in Georgia, but they are not connected online. So each polling station is independent of the others. We have to insert a smart card into the machine to begin voting and then hand it over when completed.
Why even address this nonsense? Who seriously believes Russians actually hacked voting machine?
They LOVED paper ballots in Illinois. Could always find whatever amount of votes were needed in the trunk of car somewhere.
I’m not sure which is more corruptible... paper or electronic.
How about voter ID laws?
With the Georgia system you just need to hack the machines that count the total votes...which is what the Obama Department of Homeland Security tried to do.
Originally the story about Russian "meddling" relied on "evidence" that Russian related IP addresses launched packets at some vaguely election related servers. In one example hacking attempts were made against servers storing voter registration data.
Then the story mutated to Russians attempting to "influence" the election by posting on twitter, or buying ads online, or commenting on articles. Of course millions of other foreigners did the same thing, including foreign students, legal and illegal aliens, and even foreign heads of state.
And now Mueller is looking around to see if anyone had a cup of borscht during the election.
Pushing the election security issue back into the spotlight can't hurt, our nation deserves the most secure election system possible - one that is impervious to hackers and fraudulent actions by corrupt election officials or party hacks.
Have an embossed DL# on your license , then before you vote they ask for you DL and get a blank ballot and "Swipe it to emboss it" then you vote, or you emboss after voting, and you keep a carbon copy of your ballot to cross check online to make sure no one stole your vote
