Democratic Iowa gubernatorial candidate Nate Boulton has been accused of sexual misconduct by three women, the Des Moines Register reported Wednesday. Three women told the newspaper that Boulton, one of multiple Democrats running in June's primary for his party's nomination, touched them in a sexual manner without their consent. One woman said Boulton repeatedly grabbed her from behind at a bar in 2015, while two others say the candidate inappropriately touched them more than a decade ago when they and Boulton were students together in law school.
  • [Catholic Caucus] Pope Francis vs Contemplative Orders

One aspect of Pope Francis’ character that seems little-explored by the Catholic and secular media alike is his apparent disdain for contemplative religious life – a facet of Catholic life that could be described as the most purely religious of all the Church’s undertakings. The world does not understand it or want it. Therefore, it is something of a thorn in the Bergoglian side, and he has repeatedly expressed his contempt for it. So when, in 2016 he issued a document on contemplative nuns, the faithful braced for impact. The Francis Vatican’s approach to the contemplative life is probably the...

--- "Thought you’d say that. Anytime anyone criticizes the media, the media shrieks “You’re just like Trump!” Why do you think he got elected in the first place? Because no ones believes you any more. You lost your credibility a long time ago." --- Over the past several days, Elon Musk has been waging a war on Twitter against fake news and lying journalists - being particularly incensed by claims from UAW-supporting journalists at Reveal for making up claims such as that he banned yellow safety tape and beeping forklifts at his factories because they offend him (when such things...

At least 19 House Republicans are sponsoring a resolution calling for a special counsel to investigate the conduct of the Justice Department and FBI during the 2016 election campaign. For a year now, special counsel Robert Mueller and his team have investigated Russia’s meddling in the presidential election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign. The resolution calls for a second special counsel to look at how the Justice Department handled the probe of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state, how the Russia investigation regarding President Donald Trump began, and potential abuse of the...

And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church,(Ephesians 1:22) For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. (Ephesians 5:23) But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.1 Corinthians 11:3) He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the...

The NFL released a statement outlining a new anthem policy agreed to in a unanimous vote of league owners at this week’s meetings in Atlanta. The policy calls for everyone on the field for the song to “stand and show respect,” but allows for players and other personnel to remain off the field if they choose. It also calls for the league to fine teams whose personnel do not “stand and show respect” and allows teams to set their own “work rules” for players who do not stand for the song. After the NFL released its statement, the NFLPA responded...

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) took aim at President Trump on Wednesday, saying the president has "debased" the office with his "bottomless appetite for destruction and degradation." “Our presidency has been debased by a figure who has a seemingly bottomless appetite for destruction and division, and only a passing familiarity with how the Constitution works" Flake said in a commencement address to Harvard Law School graduates, according to prewritten remarks. “Our Article I branch of government, the Congress (that's me), is utterly supine in the face of the moral vandalism that flows from the White House daily,” Flake continued. The Republican...

...Some questions follow: Who asked Mr. Halper to keep tabs on the Trump officials, and when and why? The answers go to the credibility of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s claim that it didn’t open an official counterintelligence probe into Trump-Russia collusion until July 31, 2016.... One mystery concerns Mr. Halper’s interaction with Trump aide Carter Page. The New York Times reported on Friday that Mr. Halper’s contact with Trump officials happened only after the July 31 launch of the probe. The story notes that Mr. Halper reached out to campaign adviser George Papadopoulos “late that summer” and then to...

The Evening Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) If you’re shocked at the utterly dishonest manner in which the entirety of the fake mainstream media is covering Spygate (thanks to President Trump for coining that shorthand term today), well, you need to pay closer attention to the Campaign Update and less attention to CNN. Here’s the short message about this 100% “Opposite Day” coverage: Get used to it, because it’s going to continue. At this point in the saga, fake media outlets who have served as nothing but leak receptacles for the Deep State Cabal within the FBI/DOJ for...

President Obama helped debut the new presidential twitter account yesterday. In the hours following its birth the account gained more than a million followers. One of those followers was not and likely never will be the @meninist account. Meninist, a twitter account that presumably allies itself with the men’s’ rights movement, was blocked by the official POTUS account. This means that the Meninist, which follows no accounts, cannot follow @POTUS, nor can it see the account’s tweets. Boom! That’s how you win Twitter.

WASHINGTON—The Trump administration is considering a plan that would impose new tariffs on imported vehicles on national-security grounds, according to industry officials briefed on broad outlines of the plan. President Donald Trump has already used a legal provision known as Section 232 to impose global tariffs on imported steel and aluminum, and now the administration is considering starting a probe of imported cars under the same law, possibly applying tariffs at the end, the people said. Mr. Trump has repeatedly floated the idea of tariffs on auto imports in meetings. The plan remains in its early stages, and is likely...

Valdez won 53.1% of the vote while her competitor, Andrew White, obtained 46.9%, according to unofficial election results. Valdez, a former US Army captain, accepted the nomination in a speech Tuesday evening, during which she advocated for equal opportunities for Texans. Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Thomas Homan on Wednesday backed up President Trump’s “animals” characterization of the MS-13 gang, calling Trump's controversial description “kind.” During the president’s roundtable discussion in New York addressing immigration loopholes, Homan praised Trump for his positions on border security and weighed in on the criticism Trump received last week. “I know you’ve been taking a hit on your comments about animals and MS-13, but I think you’re being kind. Animals kill for survival, MS-13 kills for sport,” Homan, who has been overseeing the deportation crackdown under the Trump administration, told the president.

The following is the complete statement by Defense Department spokesman Lt. Col. Christopher Logan: “The United States is committed to a free and open Indo-Pacific. China’s continued militarization of disputed features in the South China Sea only serve to raise tensions and destabilize the region. As an initial response to China’s continued militarization of the South China Sea we have disinvited the PLA Navy from the 2018 Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise. China’s behavior is inconsistent with the principles and purposes of the RIMPAC exercise.” “We have strong evidence that China has deployed anti-ship missiles, surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems,...

A newly-unveiled Trump administration proposal would not just block groups like Planned Parenthood from receiving Title X funds. It also could pave the way for a host of previously ineligible organizations — some of whom oppose contraception — to receive funds through the federal government's family planning program. While introducing President Trump at a fundraiser on Tuesday for her anti-abortion-rights group, Marjorie Dannenfelser painted a picture of what the country might look like had abortion opponents and other social conservatives not rallied around Trump in 2016. "We would be grieving the loss of support for women and children as pregnancy...

Motto: In a world of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength-George Orwell A sixty year old Swedish man was accused of hate-speech, an Orwellian term that feels like home in Sweden (and other progressive EU countries by the way) nowadays, after he made a factually accurate statement about Somali immigrants having low IQ.
