  • McCain Will Probably Retire After Next Week

    05/25/2018 7:15:29 AM PDT · by cotton1706 · 45 replies
Once May 31st is past, John McCain will be free to retire and have his successor appointed by the governor. Gotta avoid that pesky election thing where the people would choose his successor. And supposedly, he's already given the governor a list of who he'd like to succeed him (his wife or daughter probably being at the top of the list). So his successor (whoever it is) can get successfully entrenched in the office by the next election (2020). The people be damned! Then John McCain can die in peace, and the Oligarchy can continue.

The United States is in the grips of a free-speech paradox. At the same time that the law provides more protection to personal expression than at any time in the nation抯 history, large numbers of Americans feel less free to speak. The culprit isn抰 government censorship but instead corporate, community and peer intimidation. Conservatives can recite the names of the publicly shamed from memory. There was Brendan Eich, hounded out of Mozilla for donating to a California ballot initiative that defined marriage as the union of a man and woman. There was James Damore, abruptly terminated from Google after he...
