  • Dems Issue Depressing Statement on Independence Day as People Leave Party in Droves

The Democrat party is in complete disarray. The violence, threats, calls to abolish borders and abolish ICE are causing people to leave the Democrat party in droves. The #WalkAway campaign is gaining momentum as decent Americans are fed up with the vitriol and overall lack of message from the Democrat party. The mask is completely off; Democrats are openly embracing a Communist Socialist candidate for the House of Representatives. DNC Chairman Tom Perez claimed this week that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist running for Congress, is “the future of our party.” The Democrats released a bleak message riddled with...

A man visiting Busch Gardens Tampa Bay was injured by celebratory gunfire on Wednesday. According to Tampa police, 36-year-old Scott Deel of Florahome, Florida was walking inside the theme park with his wife when he felt pain in his shoulder around 10 p.m. His wife then noticed he was bleeding. The park's security responded, and gave him first aid. Tampa firefighters...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Liberals just keep coming out of the anti-America closet, Part 6,582.: Some guy named Dylan Matthews, writing at the far-leftwing Vox.com fake news site, ran a piece on July 4 titled “3 Reasons the American Revolution was a Mistake.” The piece includes the usual complaints about America’s horrible treatment of native Americans, which are mostly true, but then moves to unsupported claims that slavery would have somehow ended sooner without the Revolution and – hilariously – that the British parliamentary form of government is somehow far superior to the American Republic. Obviously,...

I Am an American! I was born an American. Unlike my grandparents, I was born in the greatest nation in the history of the world. Being born here didn't make me a real American. That took time. I became an American, slowly and decisively over my entire life. I learned to be an American, through experiences, and knowledge, and witness. I remember moments in my life that brought me to the realization that being born here, in America, is one of the the greatest blessing I had been given. As a young boy, I watched as my 92 year old...

At the end of March, 1776, following the year-long Siege of Boston, General George Washington and the Continental Army drove the British out of Boston, following their stunning victory in the Battle of Dorchester Heights, one of the true masterstrokes of the War of Independence. But the British just went to Halifax to regroup, and to gather reinforcements for a real assault, to follow that summer. In June, the expected redeployment of British troops began, as his forces headed south, bound for New York, to meet with other reinforcements he had called for. General Washington knew what was coming. In...

WASHINGTON — Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following message celebrating Independence Day: "Happy Fourth of July to all Americans," said Chairwoman McDaniel. "As we celebrate more than two centuries of independence, we honor the patriots who declared America a free nation in 1776. We also remember and thank our service members for their lasting dedication and countless sacrifices to guard our liberties." "On this Independence Day, we pledge to uphold America’s founding principles and continue to fight for our inalienable rights: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all."

Independence Day is, or should be, a time to reflect on the great gifts bequeathed to us by the American founders, and to judge ourselves by their standards. How well are we maintaining the country they built for us, and the principles which helped to make it great? The answer is at once not so well—we have drifted far from the founders’ vision, mostly to our detriment—but also better than we have done in many years. That’s because Donald Trump’s political philosophy is closer to the founders’ than was that of any president since at least Reagan. This assertion will...

When government officials do not have a belief in a Supreme Judge of the world, to whom the founders appealed, they have no sense of accountability for their actions. Every year July 4th is the date of the holiday Americans designate to celebrate Independence Day. Yet in 2018, the United States does not seem so united. This 4th of July many concerned citizens are seriously pondering the future of America in light of the highly charged political climate that resembles an organized insurrection against the fundamental values enshrined in the founding documents. At the heart of the political turbulence is...

Happy Independence Day, America, better days are coming in November Midterms Searching for the Obamas’ ‘Happy July 4th’ message on the ‘Net today. None exist as of this writing. Nothing on their Twitter or Facebook accounts. It would cost them nothing to post: “Happy Birthday America!” Both Obamas would have had nothing were it not for the United States of America.

  • "Happy Independence Day" vs "Happy Fourth of July"

    07/04/2018 2:23:47 AM PDT · by bryan999 · 50 replies
Has anyone noticed that the media tends to push calling today the "Fourth of July" or "July Fourth" versus simply calling it was it is: "Independence Day"? This seems to pass down into our speaking lexicon, and people end up wishing you a "Happy Fourth". My take on it is there's a nefarious, underlying reason and leftists who control the media and the schools do this on purpose. It's akin to the whole "Happy Holidays" nonsense. I think the left and the media wants us to forget that this is a day when we remember and celebrate our country's "independence"....

  • Elvis Presley - An American Trilogy - Aloha from Hawaii

Aloha from Hawaii Via Satellite is a concert that was headlined by Elvis Presley, and was broadcast live via satellite on January 14, 1973. The concert took place at the Honolulu International Center (HIC) in Honolulu (now known as the Neal S. Blaisdell Center) and aired in over 40 countries across Asia and Europe (who received the telecast the next day, also in primetime). Despite the satellite innovation, NBC did not broadcast an edited version of the concert in the United States until April 4, 1973 because the concert took place the same day as Super Bowl VII. The decision...

This is a dilemma: the 4th of July, is on Wednesday, so which weekend is technically “4th of July weekend” this year?  I checked my State’s fireworks schedule to see if that would give me a clue but it looks like those communities that don’t actually shoot them off on the 4th are split between the weekend before and after. This leads me to conclude that Wednesday is the perfect day for the 4th as you can log a 9 day, two weekend holiday by spending only 4 days from your vacation bank. I haven’t worked (for compensation) for a...

WARSAW, Poland (AP) - Tens of thousands of nationalists marched in a demonstration organized by far-right groups in Warsaw Saturday, as Poles celebrated their country's Independence Day. The far-right march was one of many events marking Poland's rebirth as a nation in 1918 after being wiped off the map for 123 years. Earlier in the day, President Andrzej Duda presided over state ceremonies also attended by European Union president Donald Tusk, a former Polish prime minister. But the march has become the largest Independence Day event in recent years, overshadowing official state observances and other patriotic events. Some participants expressed...

The media says America is cursed with a xenophobic president who fears and loathes refugees. Yet the Americans who voted for him at the highest rate (higher even than native-born “whites”) were foreign-born one-time refugees. The media says America is blighted by an isolationist know-nothing president who ignorantly, chauvinistically and provincially shirks our nation’s international commitments, especially regarding common defense. Yet this week this president got a rousing reception in the capital of a nation 7000 miles and an ocean away where he pledged to install America’s most modern Polaris missiles for the common defense. The media says America is cursed with...
