Federal Investigative Committee head Alexander Bastrykin said on Tuesday that the students who carried out attacks in January at high schools in Perm, Chelyabinsk, and Ulan-Ude had frequented “sadistic” websites “that propagate school violence,” including a website dedicated to the 1999 Columbine High School massacre in the United States that killed 15 people, including the two shooters: Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. Speaking at an agency board meeting, Bastrykin also discussed the existence of “suicide websites” dedicated to Russian teenagers who have killed themselves. According to the chief investigator, 40 juveniles in the Moscow region alone committed suicide after finding...

Sally Field has no qualms about being her son’s personal matchmaker — and has her sights set on this year’s most popular Olympic figure skater, Adam Rippon! On Friday, February 16, Sam Greisman, the Mrs. Doubtfire actress’ 30-year-old son, shared a screenshot of their conversation in which they were talking about Team USA’s Rippon. “Sam… he’s insanely pretty. Find a way..” she advised during their chat. Alongside the tweet, Greisman wrote, “Just some really helpful advice from my mom on how to deal with my Olympic crush.

It was December 2015, and Dr Weisi Guo was having dinner and listening to the grim news about the conflict in Syria. Over the previous decade, Dr Guo had grown increasingly troubled by the amount of violence towards civilians. He had worked in UNHCR refugee camps in Algeria and seen the human cost at first hand. His own expertise - as an academic specialising in communication networks and telecoms - seemed a world away. But as a physical scientist he wanted a model to help understand the nature of conflict, and so a highly innovative approach began to take shape....

There are lots of people who throw the term ‘ghetto’ around. But where is the actual ghetto in California? How do you decide if a place is ghetto or not? You ask the internet. According to the Urban Dictionary, a ghetto is defined as: “urban; of or relating to (inner) city life” and “poor; of or relating to the poor life.” Using that criteria, it’s not hard to scrape the internet, run some scientific data on where ghettos might exist in a state and then put out a list. After analyzing all cities with a decent amount of people in...

We used science and data to determine which cities in California are probably voting for Hilary. Well that was one heck of a nomination process for the Republican Party. Never in my life time have I see anything like it — given that’s a relatively short lifetime, but who’s counting? And now that we’re headed towards the big November election, we wanted to get a better sense of what parts of California would be the most likely to back Donald Trump. Specifically, which cities have the highest number of conservative voters in the Golden State? In order to do so,...

All scientific evidence indicates that gender identity disorders result principally from cultural causes and moreover, modern society is facilitating them, according to an analysis published Friday. Writing for the Catholic World Report, Anne Hendershott chronicles an exploding “transgender industry” illustrated by a massive surge in the number of referrals for gender-identity treatment, in some cases increasing by as much as 2800 percent in less than ten years. Western societies such as the UK, Sweden, Australia, and the USA have seen a spectacular rise in the number of persons, especially young people, seeking treatment for gender identity issues, paralleling the attention...

A major Hungarian city submitted a brief video about itself to a European competition, only to be rejected at the entry level because the city was too, well, white. And Christian, too — another point against the city. CrossWare, who translated the article below, includes this prefatory note: Székesfehérvár is my hometown, a thousand-year-old city, where the original Royal Court resided. Dozens of kings and queens are buried beneath the city’s cathedral, but it is also a modern town. Many high-tech companies set up shop here; the area is sometimes described as the “Hungarian Silicon Valley”. Back during the Christmas...

Teenage killer Morgan Leppert laughs in disturbing police tapes as she admits to murdering disabled elderly manViewers heard the chilling laughter of child murderer Morgan Leppert in police interview tapes from ITV documentary Children Who Kill. The show saw presenter Susanna Reid meet Leppert, who was labelled the ‘blue eyed devil’ aged 15 when she was convicted of the murder of an elderly disabled man back in 2008. The 62-year-old man named James Stewart, was stabbed multiple times in his Florida home with metal rods and a knife, before being suffocated with a plastic bag by the teenager and her...

When Foster the People's anti-gun violence anthem, "Pumped Up Kicks," was released in 2010, it quickly went viral. But not everyone immediately noticed the cautionary tale about gun violence that lead singer Mark Foster relates in the lyrics: "All the other kids with the pumped up kicks/ You'd better run, better run, outrun my gun." Although its tone is jubilant and upbeat -- prompting some fans to blast it during celebratory times -- "Pumped Up Kicks" is about a boy named Robert, who fantasizes about shooting up his school. SNIP With emotions raw after Vegas, Foster said that he and...

Two packs of red and white pills lie on the ground. A toy rabbit sits out of focus. The number of children taking psychiatric medications has been rising over the last few decades. In 2014, the National Center for Health Statistics estimated 1 in 13 U.S. children between the ages of 6 and 17 takes medication. Many people believed the report was clear evidence that children are overmedicated. Yet a new study challenges that argument. According to a study published in the Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology, children are not overprescribed psychiatric drugs. Instead, the research suggests children who need...

There is a whole lot to like about Marvel’s $200 million Black Panther, and almost as much not to like. For starters, director and co-writer Ryan Coogler does an A+ job of world building (more on this later). In addition, the soundtrack and score also deserve an A+. Then there are the actors, the best cast yet assembled in all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (by far). Black Panther is set in the fictional Wakanda, an idyllic country hidden in the heart Africa thanks to an alien metal called vibranium. This resource (delivered eons ago by way of a meteor)...

There will be no medal for American skier Lindsey Vonn in the Olympic super-G at the Pyeongchang Games. She had a fast run going before a mistake near the bottom cost her valuable time. Tina Weirather of Liechtenstein leads after the opening eight racers. Vonn will have another chance in the downhill. At age 33, she is trying to become the oldest woman to win an Olympic Alpine medal. She won bronze in the super-G at the 2010 Vancouver Games — to go with her downhill gold — but missed the 2014 Sochi Olympics after surgery on her right knee.

After all, freedom of speech is one of the pillars of “White supremacy.” Which, ironically enough, enables people like Mr Blow to publicly call the most powerful man in the world racial epithets on a daily basis. The fact is that if Mr Blow couldn’t write about “racism,” he wouldn’t have anything to write about. In reality, the rhetoric surrounding race has been hijacked and weaponized for political gain by those with an anti-White agenda. A word that has transcended its literal definition and evolved into a slur used relentlessly against non-conforming Whites as a modus operandi for character assassination....

The official portrait is part of an old tradition perfected by Renaissance painters more than 500 years ago. The artists were generally painting powerful old men, who tended to be a bit ugly. To make up for what lacked in the sitter's physical beauty, the artist would emphasize the internal. A great painting of a king or pope tells you something about the subject's inner thoughts, his psyche. The image is more about what's going on inside his head rather than the outer trappings of his position or status. ... The Obama portraits are kind of shocking - not only...

Just finished watching one of the local TV news programs. Unbelievable the way GUN CONTROL is being pushed in almost EVERY SINGLE STORY. *Students at the school call for gun control (I actually CHECKED the time on this story. In a two minute story 1:45 was devoted to GUN CONTROL while 15 seconds was given to the pro-Constitution position). The superintendent of Broward county schools agrees with the kids that we need a gunless society. *Newtown Connecticut citizens agree with some in Parkland that we need gun control *A security guard PRETENDED to hold a gun and point it at...

Essex County officials say that a Massachusetts man intentionally drove a truck into the East Orange Planned Parenthood clinic on Valentine’s Day. Marckles Alcius of Lowell, Massachusetts, was charged with attempting to cause widespread injury, aggravated assault and weapons offenses. Additional charges could be pending, according to officials. Authorities say that Alcius, 31, used a stolen bakery delivery truck to crash into the building Wednesday. Three people inside the clinic, including a pregnant woman, were treated for minor injuries after the crash. Alcius pleaded not guilty in court Friday.
