WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) — The signs of a graduation party are still left around the house of the Koscinski family. Jacob graduated Saturday with the highest honors from a Christian-based home-schooling program. So, his mom ordered a cake. "He did not know we were getting a cake because he's not a big cake eater. So we were all standing there waiting to see it and when we opened it, it was a huge shock to all of us," said Cara Koscinski. She explained how she ordered the 3/4 inch sheet cake online through Publix. But when she requested the...

The Boy Scouts will ensure that condoms will be made 'readily and easily accessible' at its global gathering this summer, it has been revealed. Rules now require that the host organization of the World Scout Jamboree provide condoms at a 'number of locations' for staff and participants during the event. Leaders of the participating organizations must also communicate the policy to their 'participants, unit leaders, and contingent staff', the mandate requires. The 24th World Scout Jamboree will be held in the mountains of West Virginia from July 21 to August 1, 2019.

A frustrated couple are taking their own 30-year-old son to court today after trying and failing to get him to fly the coop. Mark and Christina Rotondo, of Camillus, New York, say their son doesn't pay rent or help out around the house so they've had it. Over the past three months, they've given him five written notices to move out, but he has ignored their orders. They initially tried to get him evicted, but learned that since he is a family member, he would have to be removed from their home through an ejectment proceeding.
  • Why such silence from the media that obsesses over alleged Russian interference in our elections?

While the media obsess over an alleged Russian conspiracy to collude with Donald Trump to affect America’s 2016 presidential election, what about Obama’s interference in the elections of other countries? Most Americans have no idea that President Obama meddled in elections all over the world. And apparently, the media decided there’s no reason for Americans to know about this illegal activity. Indeed, in 2016, the Los Angeles Times did a story on how America has interfered with other nation’s elections in the past, but they stopped short of mentioning the various foreign elections Obama tried to influence. But the same...

Earlier this month, a male-to-female transgender filed a $50,000 human rights complaint after a Muslim woman refused to perform a Brazilian wax on his genitals. The unnamed transgender person has repeatedly claimed that he called inquiring about a leg wax, but the owner of Mad Wax, the waxing studio based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, insisted the request clearly indicated his interest in a genital wax. "She never once asked for a leg wax [from] us," Mad Wax manager, president, and CEO Jason Carruthers told PJ Media. "She said, 'Women have penises and women have balls and if your staff is...

“When the heart and soul of our democracy is being challenged, what have you done?” he said. “What will you do?” Some 7,500 of the university’s 40,000 students earned their degrees in a ceremony at Xfinity Center on the state’s flagship campus in College Park. A committee of students chose Gore to speak at their graduation, and his address included what he acknowledged were commencement cliches. He quoted Spanish poet Antonio Machado in encouraging the students not to fear failure; he invoked Nelson Mandela in calling on them to reject hatred and resentment. But at its heart, his speech was...

A situation escalates when the police tell a man to break into his home.Moments after arriving at the city house, Rochester Police Officer Korey McNees offered a solution for the man standing outside who wanted to retrieve items from his uncooperative girlfriend who'd earlier changed the locks: Just break into the house, McNees said. The law allowed it, McNees told the man time and time again in conversations outside of the Genesee Park Boulevard home and captured on police-worn body cameras. If the boyfriend lived there, then he was in his legal right to kick in a door or break...
  • Kendrick Lamar rebukes white fan who rapped n-word on stage with him

    05/21/2018 11:43:03 PM PDT · by BBell · 52 replies ^ | 5/21/18 | Michelle Robertson
In American society, it is widely acknowledged that white people should not say the n-word. Nor should they rap it. Nor should they rap it on stage at a Kendrick Lamar performance in front of thousands of people. One white-appearing woman, identified in a video as "Delaney," learned that lesson the very public way at Alabama's Hangout Festival on Sunday. Lamar invited Delaney onstage during his song "M.A.A.D. City," which chronicles the rapper and recent Pulitzer Prize winner's experiences growing up in Compton. The song contains 15 instances of the slang word "n---a," three of which Delaney rapped with abandon....

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Circuit Court Judge John Olson issued his restitution opinion for the teenager who pleaded guilty to starting the Eagle Creek Fire last summer, ordering him to pay $36 million dollars. The teen was in court on Thursday for a restitution hearing, where 11 different claims were submitted from different agencies and companies totaling $36 million. The teen's attorney argued the number was "cruel and unusual."The judge said in his opinion that the judgment does not violate the constitution and "is clearly proportionate to the offense because it does not exceed the financial damages caused by the...

A Danish minister known for her strong anti-immigration views on Monday May 21st called for Muslims to take time off work during the fasting period of Ramadan, saying the practice is “dangerous for all of us”. The comments from immigration and integration minister Inger Stojberg, a member of the center-right Liberal Party, come after Ramadan, one of Islam’s most revered holidays in which Muslims around the world fast from dawn until dawn, began last week. “I want to call on Muslims to take leave from work during the month of Ramadan to avoid negative consequences for the rest of Danish...

There's a runoff election in Texas's 7th Congressional District on Tuesday that may give a strong indication of just how far left Democratic candidates will run in November. The race pits the national Democrats' favorite attorney Lizzie Pannill Fletcher against a Bernie Sanders acolyte, activist Laura Moser. What makes the race interesting is that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) tried to sabotage Moser's candidacy by dumping a thick file of opposition research on the press just prior to the March 6 primary. The unusual move of the national campaign committee to try and undercut one of their own candidates...

The US Gun Control Act of 1968 allows for the assembly of parts leading to the construction of an unregistered weapon. ATF guidelines state that as long as gun parts are not more than 80 percent completed into a working firearm, then they are not legally considered a gun. That allows for retailers to sell nearly complete parts, with easy-to-follow instructions to finish the remaining 20 percent needed to bring the gun parts into a firing condition. Most online retailers ship across state lines using standard delivery companies. A complete Glock 19 kit is among the simplest kits to assemble,...
